Braces for Children, Teens and Adults

ORTHODONTIX is the leading braces specialist for children, teens and adults in Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore areas. Braces are a classic orthodontic treatment. From straightening misaligned teeth to fixing an incorrect bite, braces are an effective treatment for many orthodontic issues.
Braces Basics
With today’s technology, patients now have more braces options. While traditional metal braces are still widely used, clear braces are becoming increasingly popular. Modern advancements mean smaller, lighter weight and less obtrusive options than ever before.
What are braces?
Traditional braces are made from a series of small, metal brackets cemented to the front of the teeth. A thin, springy arch wire is threaded through these brackets and hooked into place with small elastic bands. The arch wire is precisely shaped to apply a finely calibrated force to each tooth, gradually shifting it to a new position, over time, creating a whole new smile.
Clear (ceramic) or metal braces. We’ve got you covered!
We use the latest technology available in orthodontics to provide the best treatment experience for you. We work with 3M® Brackets, the most advanced and effective technology in the market.
How do braces work?
Braces work by exerting constant pressure on teeth and jaws to change their position and alter the smile. The brackets glued to teeth hold the archwire in place which places pressure on teeth. Over time teeth move into the desired position.
